General Requirements
Processor
For Web layer:
- All 32-bit and 64-bit processors (x86 and x64) are supported.
For Application layer:
- All 32-bit and 64-bit processors (x86 and x64) are supported.
Operating System
For Web layer:
This depends on the Web server used. In principle, any Web server that supports JSP 1.2 can be used.
For Application layer:
- Windows Server 2008 as of SP2 or Windows Server 2008 R2, all variants
- Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2012 R2, all variants
- Windows Server 2016
- Windows 7 as of SP1 (Professional, Ultimate, Enterprise)
- Windows 8 (Pro, Enterprise)
- Windows 10
We recommend that you use the most recent service pack for the relevant operating system.
Requirements for the Web Layer
The Web server has to support JSP 1.2. Please refer to the Web server documentation for the Web server requirements.
Requirements for the Application Layer
OLAP Databases
To allow the Web application to communicate with your OLAP databases, the appropriate database client must be available or installed on the machine on which the application layer is installed.
SQL DataViews - Relational Databases
If you are using SQL DataViews that access relational data via ODBC/OLEDB, check that the right ODBC driver/OLEDB provider is installed. With ODBC you must also create the corresponding ODBC data source as a "System DSN".
